Step backwards
I stupidly had my phone set for auto-updates so awoke one day to this new version. It may have better sharing/community capability, but seems a step back in terms of UX. It doesnt remember the last type of workout you did like the older version. I walk most often but have to set it every time (default is "running"). Not a major issue I realize but counter-intuitive when it was in the older version.
More damning (to me anyway) is that you can no longer get your workouts from date A to date B in a CSV file. You can get a CSV in this new version but near as I can tell you have to download one for each workout - ugh. I use the app far less now because I cant pull a whole dataset in one go.
If youre using the older version DO NOT download this one.
Also, I reached out to Polars customer service to ask if there was a way to download a CSV covering multiple dates and received radio silence. Too bad.
