Since the last update the HR Monitor wont pair with the App. My phone can connect to the monitor via Bluetooth, as do machines at the gym. The App needs to be fixed!
Easy to use and impressive! A must have. Thank POLAR! You done it again.
It works okay on a spinning bike, but its twitchy. Running or elliptical training makes the HR vary wildly and Ive tried several fixes. On a bike outside, the HR works as it should, but the speed graph when finished shows crazy variations. I would not recommend this product.
Id love to give this 5 stars. But Polar knows that this app should include downloadable trading plans. Garmins app does. Hmmmmmm.
This is a great app. To get the most out of it, you MUST have the H7 HRM and one of its GPS Watches, M400 or V800!
This new update doesnt even let you go past the continue button on first launch without crashing. Reading the other reviews, you realize they are not even doing simple testing. Im running iPhone SE with iOS 10.2, so its not like Im running the app with an old phone. Previous version was great. Please fix this issue.
Easy to use and gives me all the info I need for my workouts.
Spent 20 minutes trying to pair it today. Has worked for only 2 minutes of that. Elegant idea but execution is a problem. I miss the old simple watch - clunky, but always worked
Not every time but often enough the heart rate is all over the place. 0-180 in a second and anywhere in between. The app is only ok as it is. The watches have more functionality which is disappointing since your phone has so much more memory, processing power and available display area. Update: I hate this app. The heart rate is EXTREMELY unreliable. I maintain the strap and sensor correctly. Ive washed the strap as instructed - nothing more, nothing less. The sensor has a new battery. The signal will not only completely drop out but the HR spikes as well. Do not buy the HR monitor nor the app. On to Garmin. UPDATE 2: The H7 strap is actually compatible with the Wahoo app and I still get bad, inaccurate heart rates. So bottom line, the only compatible strap for Beat is unusable so the app is unusable.
Love this app
Thank you Polar, for the free application and website. Ive used this for two years , and found it very accurate... until the update. Now my heart rate spikes and dips randomly. I purchased the H7 sensor to replace my generic heart rate sensor. This did not eliminate the heart rate variation. I like and appreciate all the other features in the application. Thank you for helping me reach a higher level of fitness. I would ask though please try to discover the cause of the heart rate variation. Thank you.
Liked my old Polar HR monitor but hated having to wear the watch... Always have my phone for music so PolarBeat was perfect for me and... ITS TOTALLY AWESOME! Love that I can see my HR in graph, love that I can track all workouts... absolutely worth using!
I have used Polars for years. I held off getting an Apple Watch because I doubted it could work as well as my Polar. I finally did both, the Apple Watch with the H7 and Polar Beat. I love seeing the workouts in real time on the app. As a visual person, seeing my total effort during the workout is huge. Another commenter said the graphics need help. From a style point of view, I agree, but the UI is clear and makes sense. I want to add two features for the developers with list: 1. Recovery tracker - once the workout stops, the recovery tracker records until the initial workout heart rate is resumed and held for a while. Alternately, the app could track different workout modes within one workout: warm up, workout, cool down and recovery. In this scenario one could toggle various modes during a workout. 2. Custom interval timers - in this mode predetermined intervals and reps could be set to trigger alarms during the workout to change effort modes etc... Aside from this, I left a star off because pairing the devices should not be so difficult. After I finally paired it, it always pairs now. Sadly I am not clear what I did to make it work. Clear instructions would be welcome too.
This app is awesome if you are serious about your workouts.
h7 heart rate sensor doesnt connect to Polar Beats apps
Spend 10 min every day trying to get the pos to hook up to iPhone. Junk!!
When I am able to get the program to respond to pressing the start button, its a great app that captures a variety of metrics. The watch app rarely if ever responds to the start button. Ive had others try to start the app in case I was missing something, and they couldnt get it to respond. Also tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. The same for trying to start on the iPhone (7 Plus). I hope this will improve because I really like the metrics it captures when it works.
I give up on your app!!! About 3 months ago it has not been working right. The speed and pace feature is spotty at best and therefore the overall distance of my run is shortened I tried everything already so please spare me your quick fix repairs. I reloaded the app, I opened a new account, I even got a new phone even though my iPhone was only 3 months old. Im done polar. Ive purchased your product for several friends and family and now Im going to tell them to throw it away.
This app is designed to make you buy their product. I already have a compatible product that I am trying to pair & still no success. Also, I had to buy the premium membership to find that out. Do yourself a favor & save your money & time by not downloading this app. Not user friendly & major time waster.
