The background is too dark and it is almost impossible to see it in daylight. An option should be created to choose at least between two backgrounds (dark and light). I hope it will be implemented as soon as possible.

Thanks to the app, Im able to track all my fitness improving. Easy to use, awesome support apps and web-services, great hardware-software interaction. A+++
I was waiting for this app for a long time. I hate to replace my watch with a fitness tracker and all fitness braces dont have the option of connecting to the chest HR strap.. This app is awesome I count my steps via my mobile and also track my workout via the same mobile
It took me a long time to pair my chest strap but once I got that accomplished the app is great!
Have had a polar loop for the last two years, switched to an Apple Watch and flipped from using the flow app to using beat - in my opinion the best heart rate app in the store.
I was a fan of the RC3 GPS Watch for a while and they discontinued it, so I wanted an experience that was similar to my RC3 watch, so I decided I would try the Polar Beat App with my new Apple Watch... It doesnt have the same robust information about elevation and such like my old Polar RC3 watch did, but what I knew I could depend on was that all my workouts were being synced + saved after I spent so much time investing myself fully on this platform. Then the most awful thing happens--they stopped syncing my workouts to Polarpersonaltrainer.com and I had to manually sync all my workouts over to Polar Flows iOS app, but it doesnt really fully support the Polar Beat app. The second thing I am frustrated by is although my workouts are being tracked, the app doesnt write the active calorie data to the Apple Health. Apple Health will show You how many calories you burned in Polar Beat under exercise but it doesnt apply those calories to the active calorie area. Its like the app doesnt have sufficient permission to write active calories data directly to the active calories portion of Apples Health app. So disappointed in the lack of support for your products.
So far I sent five emails and spoke to their tech services. I upgraded to iOS 10.2 and deleted and reinstalled, as directed. Their app just does not work and they cant figure out their failure.
Ive been a Polar customer for many years. They know fitness very well. Its just the little things that keep them from being so much better. Seriously. How do you let a gps company over take you in fitness? I use a Polar H7 strap to connect to this app. Paid and upgraded to add all of the features. The running training programs are nice. Wish they would add interval training. Also utilize the GPS of the Apple Watch Series 2. Also not require connection to the iPhone just to use the Watch app for tracking my other workouts. Another downside to the Beat app is the graphics. Black background makes it difficult to see. Especially when they put colors like dark blue text on black.
Cmon the week summary view is gone!!! That was awesome in the old app please at least match that key feature in the new version. I regret the update. Please bring it back
Dark Background hard to see in daylight, should have a option for white background like previous versions. Also kcal is wrong, should be cal throughout.
This app does exactly what it says it will do. I use the Polar H7 to monitor my HR during my workouts and I find it is accurate and easy to use. Very detailed app. My favorite parts of this app is how it catalogs and tracks your workouts. I am ridiculous when it comes to watching my progress and this is perfect. Plus it automatically uploads the work outs to polar flow on the website. Kudos Polar, you truly are the best in the business. JCBrouss.
As others have written. The H7 connects readily to iOS 10.2; Polar Beat will not. iPhone Heath app automatically displays heart rate yet Polar Beat does not. Unexpected from a Finnish company.
This app is a POS! Im tired of fighting to pair my Polar HR monitor with it. I should note that my phone is paired with heart rate monitor and I can see my heart rate on other apps just not with the polar app. Its a POS. The old version work fine and then they screwed it up when I came out with the current version. The shouldve been fixed a long time ago
I have a Polar Loop with an H7 HRM. The H7 will only pair to the Loop and not this app. I tried unpairing the H7 and Loop, but still the H7 would not pair with this app. No worries, I have a Mio Fuse that pairs "flawlessly" with Polar Beat. So I use the H7 with the Loop for the treadmill runs and for runs outside I use Polar Beat with the Mio Fuse. Works for me.
Polar Beat doesnt have any bells and whistles, it will track and display your heart rate but will not give you tones for Max or Min HR. I always seem to come back to this app for what it does for free.
Great app and info. Since many of us use the Apple Watch with this the app should be able to work with the Watch only. If Im able to listen to music without my phone the same should go for this app
The only app wont pair my Polar H7 is the one developed by Polar , Really? ... its incredible that Runkeeper & Digifit would pair faultlessly BUT NOT POLAR!... used to work previous version in an IPhone 6... but now?...
I was a long time polar watch spinning user and when my polar watch broke I went to a local sports store to replace it but ended up not finding it and buying the strap and monitor online only. I was used to having the watch come with the package and was I surprised when it didnt. I will go and buy another and am using this App in the meantime. Improvements could include: Tracking anaerobic vs aerobic during the ride/run Confirming resting heart rate (AM) and applying to subsequent activity -its unclear if the App does this. The request to purchase the add one was pretty silly. For the price these should be included in the monitor and strap.
App is worthless as the H7 will not pair. My H7 HRM works perfect with other Apps just not with the Polar. Crazy.
I have not tried any other fitness apps. Having said that, Polar Beat gives me everything I need to track all my activities from gym workouts to walking the dogs and mountain biking.
