Polar Beat: Running & Fitness App Reviews

Paired instantly with my new H7, and posted my workouts to MyFitnessPal. I dont post to social media like Facebook or Twitter or whatever, so I cant comment as to the problems some users are having connecting to those sites. I just wished they offered the two cardio workouts that I do, Stairclimber and Elliptical. Those additions would be nice. I have to use "Other"

Not sure if it is the software or the hardware, but after working for a while, I can no longer pair the heart rate sensor with the phone (and yes I am going through the polar app, not the phone). Useless, I would not recommend buying Polar products, period.

Bought an M7 specifically to use this app. Things I dont like ... Polar Beat tracks personal bests but does not track lifetime mileage or stats, like Map My Run. Polar Beat does not connect to my playlists; Map my Run does. Polar Beat does not have a built-in interval timer either. So I have run my music (Jog.fm), an interval timer AND Polar Beat when I run. Finally, users should be able to add to the list of activities. The current list is far from comprehensive. Things I like ... The calorie counter and the heart rate zones analysis is great, but I had to pay $8.00 to get it all working. Overall, Polar Beat is OK. However, it needs a lot of work to make it an indispensable must-have tool for runners.

I have been using Polar Beat now with a iPhone5 and Polar H7 HR monitor since a couple weeks. I also bought all in-app purchases. I am a long time user of the S710i Polar watch and the T61 - coded HR monitor. I compared the Fitness Test results. Consistently I got 32 with the Polar Beat and 38 with the S710i. I made sure that the personal settings in both devices are the same and repeated the Fitness Test several times over within an hour. It is very strange that I got so different results. There is a big difference between a Fitness level of 32 and 38. That much of a difference should not be. Otherwise I like Polar Beat. I think everything one needs to monitor is there and integration with Polar Flow is great. I very much wish for Recovery Status as an in-app purchase. I only give 3 stars because of the Fitness Test issue.

App not ready for release. Cannot log in to account on many occasions. If I succeed, it will not upload data!

l am really sick and tired to change the batteries of h7 every time the app gets an update. Totally ruins my will and ambition to work out when l realize the app and the h7 is not pairing.

It was working on iOS 8, but not working on iOS 9. Thanks to runtastic, still working on that life saver app.

After last update version still i can not pair my polar H6 with my ios9 iphone6

Its funny that i couldnt use your app with all updates but im ysing your h7 band with endomondo can u solve this problem with new "update" so i can use my hr band with orginal app. Thanks and good luck ....

It doesnt upload data to polar flow properly!! There is no manual way to enforce it. It uploaded 2 sessions out of 4 and didnt return any error. FIX IT!!!!

Very nice and useful app. Unfortunately, it looks like it is not fully supported by iPhone 5s. It can stop working during a training, so you need to restart it from the beginning.

Not working with iOS 9. Problem with polar H7 beat controller. Apps crashing when BT is parring.
